Cliffe Castle was the home of Henry Isaac Butterfield and he was a Victorian millionaire. The building was funded by the Butterfield family’s.The finished house was full of international art and French decorations.
Cliffe Castle has been open since 1892.In the museum there are some rooms he used to live in, in one of the rooms you can go in and explore. After you go in the room there will be a door waiting for you to come through, next you will see how they made shoes there will be a video telling you all about it,the shoes were made out of WOOD!!!!!!Later you will see different types of rocks and money that they used to use.You would also see animals, creatures and big rocks that are really pretty.
There’s also a playground with swings, trampolines, carousel and 2 climbing frames.
They have also opened a new café called Pavilion café which is open between 10am and 4pm Tuesday to Sunday.
You can go on a walk and see the new fountains and benches they made.
I recommend this place because it is really fun to visit and there is so many things to explore in the museum and to play on in the playground.
