Breeds

There are many breeds of wolf including the Arabian wolf, the Tibetan wolf,  the more common gray wolf etc.  My favorite type of wolf is the Arctic wolf because of its majestic white fur and ability to run extremely fast and catch prey easily.

What do they eat?

Wolves are carnivores, so whatever they eat it is some kind of meat. Related imageThey hunt in large packs and easily respond to signals from each other, like ear twitching and tail wagging. Wolves either go one by one ( take it in turns) chasing the prey so it eventually becomes tired and surrenders or they split up and chase their prey into an ambush. Some of their most common prey are Elk, Deer, Hare, and Bison. They also hunt down mountain goats, moose, beavers, birds, and fish.

Howling is used as some kind of communication between a wolf and their packs.

During a chase, wolves can reach up to speeds of 40mph +.

Each and every wolf in the pack helps to look after the pups.

As soon as the cubs are born ( when the cubs are babies) they start bonding with their families.

Wolves work in rather large groups to hunt down the larger animals.
