Merry Christmas!

Getting crafty for Christmas? Here are some amazing ideas for a  unforgettable Christmas.

What you need:

colouring pens
Hole punch
Thin ribbon, wool (yarn) or cord for tassels

Simply draw your own picture or design on one piece of the card and write a message on the back. Then punch a hole in the bottom.

To make the tassel, thread a length of thin ribbon or cord through the hole and round your fingers or some other measure a number of times. Tie tightly just under the bookmark with a short length of the same ribbon. Finally, cut the ends.

You will need:

Polystyrene ball
Paper cup
Pink paint
Red paint
Red and white felt
Small red pompom
White pompom
Wiggle eyes
Red, black and pink craft foam
Pink pen

Paint the ball pink and the cup red and leave to dry.Glue the ball to the bottom of the cup.

Cut two arms from red foam and two hands from pink. Glue one hand to the end of each arm and the other ends of the arms to the body.

Cut a strip of black foam and glue it around the middle of the cup as a belt.

Make a hat by rolling some fed felt into a cone. Glue the edge of the cone and glue the hat to the top of the ball. Cut a band of white felt and glue it around the edge of the hat. Add a pompom at the end of the hat.

Cut a beard from white felt and glue to the front of the face. Add a red pompom nose.

Finally, add two eyes and draw on a mouth.

You will need:

A wide popsicle (lolly stick)
White paint
Black pen
Scraps of black and orange card
Piece of thin ribbon.

Paint the stick white and leave to dry. With the black pen draw on some dots for eyes, mouth and buttons. Cut out a hat from black card and a carrot nose from orange card and glue on. Finally tie a piece of ribbon around the stick as a scarf and stick in place with a spot of glue.

You will need:

Skin tone card
Thread or wool (yarn)
Gold tissue paper
Gold pen
Tracing paper
Gold pipecleaner (chenille stem)
Felt tip pens
Glue stick

Cut a heart shape from tracing paper for your angel’s wings. Decorate with gold pen.

Cut a triangle from gold tissue paper Glue the triangle onto the tissue paper wings, using the photo above as a guide for positioning.

Cut a circle from skin tone card and glue it to the point of the triangle. Cut strands of wool for the angel’s hair, and glue on.

Fold the pipecleaner in half and form a loop in the centre. Twist the ends together and stick to the back of the head. This is your halo.

Finish by drawing on a face.

Stick to your window and watch the winter sun shine through and make her sparkle!
