The Birth Bag:
Lucozade- For mum if she gets tired of if she gets thirsty.
Spare clothes- Something loose and comfortable for mum to wear during labour. That doesn’t make her to hot and makes her able to move around. You should also bring about 3 spare changes of clothes just in-case mum has to stay in the hospital.
Wash-bag- With mums toothbrush, hairbrush, flannel, soap, lip balm, deodorant, hair ties and other toiletries. You’ll also have to bring towels.
Things to help mum pass the time and relax- Books, Magazines, music or podcasts. Also you could bring mum a mini fan or water spray to cool her down.
Comfortable clothes- You could bring mums dressing gown and slippers.
A camera- You could bring a camera to take pictures and videos of the new baby.
Food- You should bring food mum likes but, maybe also some healthy snacks as well.
You should also bring extra pillows for mum if she gets uncomfortable.
For the baby you might want to pack:
- Bodysuits, vests and sleep-suits.
- An outfit for going home in.
- A hat, scratch mittens, socks or booties.
- Plenty of nappies.
- A shawl or blanket.
- A pram suit if it’s cold.
- A car seat for the trip home.
