It was the day of my dance exams, I was feeling extremely nervous. The night before I slept at my friend’s house. Waking up, I looked at the clock and realised that it was 8;30 and I had to be at my dancing studio for 9;00. So I started rushing to get dressed and also I had to crimp my friend’s hair for the exam! Arriving at the Studio, I was ready to dance my best and get a good grade because I had put a lot of effort in for this day.
I walked into the room where my exams would take place and sat down. I was in the soloists’ group, which means I was going to do the dance on my own. The line went quickly and the nerves were building up as it was my turn. A lady sat at the front and examined us as we danced, we had to politely greet her and give her our sheets so she could write on it. Whilst dancing, I thought this is not as bad as I thought it would be. It actually felt quite great to dance without nobody there to interrupt me.
After my dance, I sat back in the line and I could feel my heart beating to the music. Three more dancers performed and eventually we all went out of the room and watched the duets perform in a tiny glass window. All my friends came out and my mum and I drove home. I couldn’t wait to tell my dad how the morning went, I was so excited! That day went great, now I have some more great news to tell you.
A couple of weeks later I went to my dance class as usual, my dance teacher,Charlie, sat all of the class down and read out each and every one of our results. I got the highest grade that there was. I was over the moon and I couldn’t wait to tell my mum and dad the results of my dance exams.
