The day the Crayons Quit review.

Name of book: The Day the Crayons Quit.

Author: Drew Daywalt.

Illustrator: Oliver Jeffers

Characters: Duncan, Red Crayon, White Crayon, Orange Crayon etc.

Plot: Duncan’s crayons have each wrote a letter to him to thank or complain to him. My favourite is the White Crayon as he complains to Duncan about how he is useless and should be removed from the pack as you would only notice he was there if he had a black outline around him. Peach Crayon is funny as he is complaining about how he has been stripped from his paper wrapping and now spends his time in the box sat without any underpants on! Pink Crayon complains about how he is never used to colour anything.

I think people in year 6-7 will like this book as it is filled with sarcastic humour and I don’t think younger people would understand why it is funny.

I hope you enjoyed my book review.
