A tribute to Edward Lear’s poem:
The dog and the cat went to the park on their small, fluffy feet,
they brought some steak and plenty of cake
The cat went home but the dog stayed to look for a tasty bone, he ran around but then got stuck.
He was all alone, alone, alone, he was all alone.
The cat went away for a week and a day
but the dog was still stuck
the dog said LOOK! and grabbed a book
he’ll read it until its night, night, night, he’ll read it until its night.
The cat ran back in a flash hearing the dog cry,
the cat felt sorry but squashed by a lorry,
the cat had to die, to die, to die, the cat had to die.
The dog heard what happened and then passed out
with his book, OBCORSE!
there was a big doupt that the dog would survive
until he was saved by a horse,a horse, until he was saved by a horse.
