Thoughts On Discrimination

I don’t get it. We’re all human- yet some of us are treated differently. It’s disappointing to see that people are still being treated unfairly on their skin tone or characteristics. It’s what’s on the inside that counts.

Who cares if you’re black or white?┬áBecause, I don’t. Our ethnicity or religion doesn’t matter. Our disabilities or skin doesn’t matter. It’s what we are like on the inside, how we act towards people on the inside.

There have been many inspirational people trying to stop racism, for example; Martin Luther King Jr. He put protests up to stop blacks from being treated unfairly and being separated from the rest of the country. And Nelson Mandela, who also fought against racism. He was jailed for speaking out along with 155 other people.

Some people get the wrong ideas about others and it sometimes causes a lot of controversy and hate, which isn’t good!

These were a few thoughts on what I thought about racism and discrimination, and I think FabMag was the perfect place to do this!

Thank you for reading and see you in my next article! Bye!

  1. This is a great article, very good. It’s almost sad to think that people treat other people different just because of their skin colour or their religion.

  2. Short but a good article! Well done Afsana čÖé

You’re right, Afsana. It is very important for people your age to write about this, to make it clear that bigotry has no place in our society. Hopefully, the more it is said, the more people will understand. Good writing!
