Top 5 inventions ever (in my opinion).

Number 5

The ballpoint pen.

Invented by Ladislao Biro, it was made because pens usually used in in 1938 had ink that dried slowly and smudged as you wrote. Whilst working as a magazine printer, he pondered if you could use the same ink in a pen as it dries very quickly. Therefore, the ballpoint pen was created.

Number 4

The computer.

The computer is very important to me as it is crucial to my every day living. Whether it is using them for research at school, or just browsing the Internet, I’m sure most people own a laptop and can’t live without them.

Number 3

The mobile phone.

I’m positive that most people reading this own a phone and use it frequently. Most people use it for social media and games, phoning people and browsing the Internet. If it wasn’t for the Internet, we would not be reading this.

Number 2

The light bulb.

This piece of technology is used by most people around the world every day. Imagine a world without light bulbs: we would live in darkness.

Number 1

The television.

Admit it; we all spend time relaxing on our sofa watching the telly. If there was no TV then where would we get the news early or late at night? Where would we be entertained for hours on end?

Honorary mentions.

The internet.

If we didn’t have the internet, I wouldn’t be typing this now. If we didn’t have the internet, what would you go on when your bored? How would you play video games?

An interesting read, Oliver. Challenge – If you could choose five items you couldn’t live without that don’t need electricity what would you choose?
