Year’s six Paris trip

This year, in January, OLV and St Joseph’s Year Sixes are coming together for a residential to Paris. I’m going to tell you how we are going to get there and all the places we’re going to visit.

1. Vimy Ridge.
Vimy ridge is a war memorial in Paris. But this is a Canadian monument that was sent for a gift.

2.Battle of the Somme.
Battle of the Somme was a battle fought in the First World War. English and French empires came together against the German empire.

3.  Disneyland.
This year is a special year for OLV’s Year Six because it will be the first time they stay in a hotel five minutes from Disneyland. Disneyland is advertised all the time because it is one of the most amazing theme parks in the world.

4. Sacre coeur.
Sacre coeur is built in the only hill in France/Paris which is called Montmartre and we’re going to have to do a lot of walking because it has no elevators/lifts so we are going to walk up 300 stairs. Oh no.

5. Arche de triomphe.
Arche de triomphe is a huge monument in Paris which is…in the shape of an arch! It is also known for its everlasting flame underneath it because underneath lays The Unknown Soldier. Spoooky.

6. Le Louvre.
Le Louvre is a giant glass pyramid but if you go inside it looks like the floor is mirroring the pyramid/top so it technically is a diamond from inside Le Louvre.

It was a fantastic trip wasn’t it. I’m glad everyone had such a good time. Did you have a favourite part of the trip?
